Why did the customer contact us?

PDQ was called in to help a customer who experienced Category 2 water damage, which the IICRC Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration (IICRC S500) defines as presenting water that is significantly contaminated. The home had wood floor and sheet rock damage from a significantly flooded area where a water pipe had burst. There also was furniture that needed to be moved out of water saturated areas.

Solutions provided:

PDQ's Certified Dry Standards mean that we keep our equipment on site until we have reached the property's dry standards. We tore up and removed water damaged flooring, removed sheetrock that would be in danger of developing dangerous mold and moved items out of the way that might have been damaged by the flooding. We confirmed that moisture content was at a safe level that would not support mold growth.
