PDQ moved out all personal items that were in the way, protected their furniture with plastic covering, and closed off rooms to prevent debris from spreading throughout the house and basement. Air scrubbers were set up to filter the air, as the affected dry wall and flooring was removed. Air movers and dehumidifiers were run until the space was fully dry.

When we got there we assessed the damage and then set up dehumidifiers, air movers and air scrubbers. We cleaned and cut out the affected walls. Cleaned and treated the affected areas with an antimicrobial solution. We also worked with his insurance company, FMI making sure the claim was closed out. The customer was thankful that the process only took 4 days to complete. From drying to restoration.

PDQ team arrived after emergency responders put out the fire and got to work on clean-up. They assessed the damages and immediately discussed the plan of action with the homeowner. Our Team started the project by closing off the affected areas and performing debris removal. PDQ then placed HEPA air scrubbers and hydroxyls throughout the customer's home to begin the soot and odor mitigation. We then cleaned the HVAC air duct for soot and odor and replaced all air filters in the HVAC systems.

When we arrived, we assessed the damages with the homeowner, and found that luckily the bedroom was not affected. We discussed our remediation plan with the homeowner. She was pleased to learn we could work directly with her insurance company, Stillwater insurance, rather than her having to speak with them about the clean-up process herself. After the initial assessment, our team immediately began the clean-up process by packing up her unaffected content and moving all of it to a dry area within her basement. We sealed off the affected area and then removed, bagged and disposed of all affected materials. Our IICRC-certified technicians started immediately by setting up high-velocity air movers, commercial dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers and hydroxyls to begin drying her basement. We visited her home each day to look after the drying process. It took only 3 days to completely dry out her home!

Our Project Managers arrived within 45 minutes of the original call and thoroughly inspected the damages with the Homeowner. They took moisture readings and determined the best solution to remediate the damage experienced within the home. Our IICRC-certified technicians started immediately by setting up high-velocity air movers, commercial dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers and hydroxyls to begin drying their home. The PDQ team then proceeded with removal of the wet affected materials such as drywall, insulation and flooring. We then visited their home on a daily basis to look after the drying process and completed moisture readings to confirm there was no further moisture in the air nor walls. The Homeowner was extremely grateful that we were able to help them navigate the insurance process.
