Due to the unfortunate circumstance of a broken pipe flooding our whole downstairs, I got the pleasure to be introduced to Tim and Elizabeth, owners of PDQ. In an emergency situation, and you need to call somebody, it’s typically a leap of faith in picking out Service technicians from the phonebook or Internet. The good news is we picked PDQ. They came down immediately, Walked us through the whole process. They took care of our needs with speed and professionalism. I can honestly say should the situation arise again for myself and/or others in need, PDQ is my go to company.

Once photos were taken of the source, the demolition team came in and threw away any items that were no longer salvageable. Everything else was cleaned in place and documented. The entire house was cleaned very carefully from top to bottom throughout the next couple of days making sure no soot was left. Hydroxyls were then placed to help with the smell caused by the fire.

PDQ came in and set up containment to create a drying chamber in the basement in order to dry it out as efficiently as possible. All water in carpet was extracted. Carpet was disengaged at the seams and floated so fans could blow underneath. Dehumidifiers were also set up to help bring the moisture levels down. Flood cuts were performed throughout the perimeter of the basement.

PDQ extracted all water and did several hours of content manipulation to move the contents that were salvageable and throw away the contents that were not. Dehumidifiers and fans were set up to turn the entire basement into a drying chamber.

PDQ removed and extracted all initial water from the initial visit to the home to complete immediate remediation. After this all contents affected were removed to be cleaned and all affected structural content was removed and dried.
