More About Hanover

Hanover was settled in 1676 and incorporated on March 25, 1740, Hanover's historic charm, showcased in the book, Along The Whippanong, is rich and colorful. Hanover traces its first inhabitants to the Leni-Lenape Indians. Later, in 1710, settlers from New England were lured to Hanover by the promise of abundant natural resources, a promise fulfilled by dense forests of virgin timber, fertile land, veins of iron ore, and the power of the Whippany River. Millwrights who harnessed the river's energy laid the cornerstone of Hanover’s present commercial/industrial base, one of prominence in the region. With all four seasons, Hanover experiences hot and humid summers and cold winters much like the surrounding towns. With an increased risk of burst pipes, PDQ Restoration has a team of trained technicians that specializes in flood damages. They also have a team that can handle smoke & soot damage cleanup and restoration.

Our Project Managers arrived within 60 minutes of the Client's call. They assessed the damages, took meter readings and went over our plan of remediation with the Homeowner. The Homeowner was relieved to find out this would be covered under insurance and that we could work and bill her insurance company directly. Our IICRC-certified technicians started immediately by setting up high-velocity air movers, commercial dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers and hydroxyls to begin drying her home. We packed up their unaffected content and moved it to a dry area of their home. With the Client's permission, we recorded and documented the disposal of non-salvageable items. We removed, bagged and disposed of the affected materials. We visited their home daily to take moisture readings and look after the drying process.
