Job completed for Jacob K. - Columbia, NJ - Water Damage
Completion date: May 2, 2025
Location: Columbia, NJ
Solutions provided:
The PDQ Restoration team arrived promptly and began with a comprehensive inspection of the affected basement. High-powered extraction equipment was used to remove standing water from the tiled surface, while industrial-strength air movers and dehumidifiers were strategically placed to dry out excess moisture trapped within the walls and flooring. Moisture detection tools were utilized to identify damp areas behind the drywall, ensuring that no hidden pockets of water were left untreated.
Due to the severity of the water intrusion, a flood cut was performed—removing sections of the drywall approximately two feet above the water line. This process allowed for complete drying of the wall cavities and prevented mold growth. Antimicrobial treatments were applied to exposed surfaces, ensuring thorough disinfection and mold prevention. All damaged materials were safely disposed of, leaving Jacob's basement in Columbia, NJ clean, dry, and fully prepared for restoration.
