Job completed for Caroline M. - Mount Olive, NJ - Fire Damage
Completion date: November 4, 2026
Location: Mount Olive, NJ
Solutions provided:
Following a fire at her Mount Oliver, NJ, home, Caroline M. needed help addressing smoke damage in the unfinished basement. When PDQ Fire & Water Damage Restoration arrived, our crew inspected the exposed wooden ceiling beams, basement walls, and surrounding utility areas for signs of soot and smoke contamination. Smoke particles can settle on overhead surfaces and collect around exposed framing, making these areas difficult to clean with ordinary household methods. Our technicians assessed the affected materials and planned the cleanup around the basement's exposed structural features.
We carefully cleaned the affected surfaces using restoration techniques suited to unfinished wood and masonry. Our crew worked around the existing utility lines and equipment while addressing soot deposits and loose particles. HEPA filtration and smoke odor treatment were used where appropriate to help reduce remaining contamination. After reviewing the cleaned areas, we left the Mount Oliver property in better condition and ready for any additional restoration work.
