Job completed for Monica L. - Verona, NJ - Biohazard Cleanup
Completion date: April 14, 2025
Location: Verona, NJ
Solutions provided:
Monica contacted PDQ Restoration for emergency biohazard cleanup services following the discovery of an unattended death in her elderly father’s home in Verona, NJ. Understandably shaken and unsure where to turn, Monica needed a discreet and compassionate team to restore the affected space safely and respectfully. With health hazards present and emotional distress high, she trusted PDQ’s experience in professional decontamination and trauma scene cleanup.
Our certified biohazard cleanup crew arrived promptly at the Verona residence and began by establishing containment around the affected area to prevent the spread of harmful pathogens. We wore full personal protective equipment (PPE) and followed OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. After carefully removing contaminated materials such as bedding, flooring, and porous furniture, we disposed of them following all biohazard waste handling procedures.
We then began the detailed sanitation process, cleaning and disinfecting every exposed surface with hospital-grade antimicrobial and virucidal solutions. The team also inspected adjacent rooms for cross-contamination due to humidity and airflow. Odor control treatments were applied, including the use of ozone machines and HEPA filtration units, to neutralize lingering odors and purify the air. Throughout the process, moisture meters were also used to check for hidden dampness that could cause mold or bacterial issues later.
By the time we completed the job, Monica’s Verona home was restored to a clean, safe, and dignified condition. The space was free of biohazard risks, properly sanitized, and ready for her family to reenter. PDQ Restoration also provided detailed documentation to assist with her insurance claim and guided her through the next steps with compassion and professionalism. In a time of distress, our Verona biohazard cleanup team delivered both technical expertise and genuine care.
