Job completed for Patricia L. - Summit, NJ - Fire Damage
Completion date: April 19, 2025
Location: Summit, NJ
Solutions provided:
Upon arrival at the Summit school, our Fire Damage Restoration experts conducted a full Fire Damage Assessment. Immediate containment barriers were erected around the affected hallways to isolate the soot-damaged areas and prevent cross-contamination. Specialized negative air machines and HEPA filtration systems were set up to begin Smoke Damage Cleanup and purify the indoor air. The kitchen, the origin point of the fire, was evaluated for structural stability and fire residue, and we coordinated closely with building staff to secure and seal off the space.
Our technicians began Soot Removal using advanced dry-chemical sponges and HEPA vacuums, carefully cleaning ceiling tiles, HVAC grilles, and high-touch surfaces. Every section of the drop ceiling was cleaned or replaced as necessary. We also applied odor-neutralizing treatments and thermal fogging throughout the Summit school hallways to eliminate lingering smoke odors. All restoration work followed school safety standards, and indoor air quality was tested throughout the process to ensure a safe return for students.
Throughout the project, PDQ Restoration assisted with Insurance Claims for Fire Damage by documenting the Fire and Water Damage Repair work in detail. Thanks to our prompt response and comprehensive cleanup approach, the Summit school was able to reopen impacted areas quickly, with peace of mind that the air was clean and safe. From Emergency Fire Restoration Services to final walk-throughs, PDQ delivered reliable results that met the highest standards.
